LET'S MAKE
SOMETHING
BEAUTIFUL

A LITTLE ABOUT US
Megan Dauphinais and Mimi Weissenborn are the team behind Bites & such and eventually Camp Heron. Both have extensive backgrounds in the food & beverage/hospitality world and have come together to utilize their skillsets to create thoughtful experiences. Through their curated events and meals they focus on themes of community, creativity, and gratitude which translate to their overall goal of opening camp in order to celebrate those foundations.

CAMP HERON
For most of us, if summer camp comes up in conversation a feeling creeps in, a wave of memory & emotion that washes over.
For me, for us, that wave is a great one. It’s the first memory of freedom, of gratitude for tranquility, of pure connection and community. I went to camp through a school funded program when I was younger. I stepped off of a bus and into a dense treeline which eventually opened up to still green blue water. I signed up for every excursion, learned to start a fire and feed myself, made art to gift to my new friends, and wrote letters home describing the immeasurable joy I felt the second I woke up in my bunk ready for a new day.
We want to recreate this joy for adults at camp. There’s no reason this sense of freedom should be resigned to our younger selves and camping - like actually packing up the car and driving to your site to set up is fantastic but... it’s still work. There’s just something different about the experience of stepping off of that bus and into your adventure. With the love we plan to put into camp, this adventure
will not be a once in a lifetime experience.
We envision the week stay being so magical that we get plenty of return campers and we hope you will be one of them!
